Somalia Peace Process on the Right Track
Somalia has been in turmoil for decades which has proved so bad for Somalis as well as to the neighboring countries in the region as well as to sea travel in the Indian Ocean.
Recently Kenya joined the African Union Peace Keepers by sending its troops to Somalia in a bid to help restore law and order and hence peace so that Kenya as well as Somalia can enjoy peace with total safety and security.
This move by Kenya which enjoys international support as well as the support of Somalis who need peace urgently, was a move in the right direction.
We hope and pray that the operation restores peace and security quickly for the benefit of all peoples and countries in the region, more so Somalis who have hard difficult times due to lawlessness. Children and women of Somalia, and indeed all Somalis need peace so that they can develop and make their future secure. There is no gain in lawlessness. Kenya also needs such peace so that the economy and development in Kenya and in the surrounding region as well as free trade can go on.
We urge all Kenyans and all Somalis to help restore normalcy as soon as possible so that there is total peace. That is the only way Somalis can guarantee their own security, peace and a bright future. Accolades to Kenyans for such a noble initiative!
